Food preparation

Always buy your ingredients from a reliable source. Check fruit for over ripeness and bruising. Your local greengrocer is usually cheaper than the supermarket.

Wash all fruit, even bananas. Your fresh fruit has been handle by a chain of people whose hygiene habits are unknown to you.

Hygiene general

Kitchen surfaces and equipment should be cleaned with hot water and detergent.

Keep pets outside of the kitchen, bowls and food should be kept separate from family food.

Once opened store all preserves in the refrigerator.
